What a great day skiing today! These was shining and there wasn’t a cloud in the sky. 23cm of new snow covered the mountains and we were one of the firsts up to explore the knee deep powder while creating fresh tracks. These are the perfect, probably the best ever, ski conditions and I’m so glad we saw them before the end of the week!

Run of the day: 7th heaven. We were the first on the chair lift up to this slope and then did the same run 3 or 4 times as there is so many different routes down and there was SO much powder!

We also completed the glacier today, a T bar lift followed by a short but strenuous hike up the mountain to the top of the glacier where you then ski all the way down the bowl (aka the blow hole) on fresh, ungroomed powder, all in the sun! It was the perfect day to conquer the blackcomb glacier as the conditions made it a ski run worthy for a film!

This was my route for the whole day skiing…

Finally, we finished the day by going Tubing! This is a great activity for all the family where you take rubber rings up the mountain and slide down on them on extreme speed ice tracks! There’s lots of different tracks at different speeds with different slopes and bumps and races against friends make it a competitive game! (Goggles were necessary today due to the 38mph speed we were travelling)
